A little history
My name is Belena,
I began tattooing in the spring of 2017.
My career in tattooing started because I was first a painter.
I left my hometown of Orlando Florida, for a new city that I knew very little about.
I brought a canvas and paint every week to the busiest place in Las Vegas, and set myself up to sit among the noise and lights.
Not long after I started, a local tattoo artist invited me to learn from him while he worked, and the doors to a world I belonged to, were held open.
After another surge of restlessness, and my first few exposures to tattoo conventions, I left Vegas for a partnership with another artist, traveling to as many places as we could.
I have since had the privilege to tattoo in France, Germany, Netherlands, Iceland, Greece, and several US states, including Hawai’i and Puerto Rico
These experiences showed me countless cultures of artistry, some of the most unique people I have ever met, and skills I would never have cultivated without them.
The trials of my nomadic lifestyle, and the pandemic, eventually led me back home in October of 2022
I was welcomed into a brand new, popular tattoo shop in town, and I began to lay roots again.
An impressive influx of clientele and exposure to the new age of tattooing gave me the space to fine-tune my style into much of what you see from me now.
The doors closed, and the artists disbanded by March of 2023
Luckily for me, a chance encounter with another local artist brought me to renting the space I am in today.
My home away from home, and a practice that is entirely my own, held within the cozy collective space that is now called
Amaranthine Tattoo Studio.
Now,
Like always, and probably forever,
I am exploring what it means to be a better artist, better tattooer, and better human.
Everything revolves around this.
The life I have been allowed because of people like you, who appreciate this craft are owed nothing short of my absolute best.
